lovecruzin Posted April 27, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2012 Just thought I would pass on my recent experience...We recently filed a claim with Travelex for medical expenses incurred on a Caribbean cruise (our policy was travel select). My husband broke a rib and was transported to the hospital via ambulance, treated in the ER and released. I mailed the claim and required paperwork on April 13 and today received a check for full reimbursement. :D I think they may have been a little more expensive for coverage but I will definitely use them in the future. Jother Posted April 27, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2012 Thanks so much for sharing this information. It's so gratifying to hear a positive story, though I'm sorry for your husband's broken ribs. I have always purchased Travelex or Travel Insured coverage and now I can feel a little more comfortable in those choices. Happy, safe and healthy travels. . . sail7seas Posted April 30, 2012 #3 Share Posted April 30, 2012 Thanks for posting. I've been buying Travel Ex for medical coverage only our last how many trips. I buy the Travel Max policy as we do not cover the cost of the cruise itself. We self-insure for cancellation and only worry to insure the cost of evacuation or medical treatment out of the country. I am happy to hear they paid your claim without a hassle. Hope DH is healing well. :)
