Labadee - Shady spot

Having never been to Labadee before, I'm having a hard time getting to know it.

A quick question. If we get off the ship as soon as we can. Do we have a chance of getting a shady spot to sit at one of the beaches, and if yes, which are we best to try? We are travelling with a 12 and 15 year old who do like to be in amongst it all.

Shady spots can be found but they are "shared" by many. Having been to Labadee previously, this last time we rushed off the ship to grab a hammock. Within 30 minutes so many other cruisers had squashed into that shaded area there was hardly any room to get off the hammock, let alone swing on it.

We easily found shade on Labadee - when you get off the ship, start walking ahead toward the island. Stay on the paths to you right. At the very end, you will come to Columbus Cove - there should be spots under trees to set up chairs there. There is also a ferry from the pier to Columbus Cove, but it's important to note that it can not take you back to the ship, because the ferry dock is after the security station.
