9/3/12 Labour Day in Bermuda

Our only full port day will be on Sept. 3, 2012 which is Labour Day in Bermuda. Has anyone had any experience with what may or may not be open on that day i.e. stores in Hamilton or at the Dockyard, reduced ferry/bus schedules, etc.? Thanks for any info...........

We were there this past labor day. Ferrys were running on the holiday schedule but most things were open at the dockyard. We didnt shop in Hamilton but it appeared that folks were out and about.

It's kind of similar to here in the States. Most business is closed, most retail is open, transportation is "Holiday Schedule". Parks and beaches are more crowded with Bermudians picnicing and enjoying their holiday. As it will be your only full day there, if you post what you were planning to do, you probably will get some replies as to whether that is still a good option and if not, what some good alternatives might be, based on that day being a holiday.

We were there last labour day and everything in the dockyard was open. Most retail in Hamilton was open as well.

I am going to be there for Berumdian Day witch is our full day also, we are renting a boat for the day.
