Bioluminescent Tour

We took a kayak tour. I don't know the company the ship used, but it was cool to watch the trail of light coming off our paddles as we got closer to the lagoon. This was one of the best tours we have taken, purely because of the amazing light display in the bay.

The only downside is that it is a bit of a drive from San Juan.

We used BioIsland in February when we spent a week on the island. They were very good, and I especially appreciated not having to paddle myself in and out of the dark mangroves. The crew gave a nice tour, very informative but with humor too ("It's time to play everyone's favorite game: Whack a Kayak!")

Spend the extra time and money and go to the one on Vieques. I think we used West Wind Catamarans. We left from Fajardo on the cat and had unlimited drinks, a great dinner on Vieques, and then the bay. Awesome!

There is no company here called "West Wind Catamaran".

The tour that was described (from Fajardo to Vieques and back in same night) is not currently (nor for the foreseeable future) being offered, due to permitting issues.
