Drive Time IAH and HOU to Port

Need some help with shuttle drive times to the port. If we were to fly in same day to IAH arriving 9:30am would we be ok?

Also what would be the latest arrival into Hobby?

I understand the fly in same day thing but this might be our only alternative. Thanks

Allow an hour from HOU Hobby and an hour and a half from IAH Intercontinental Airport Houston (aka George Bush Airport) to the cruise terminal. Those are travel times with no traffic or construction snarls.

If you are flying into HOU and want something challenging, arrive after noon time during summertime traffic when there is road construction on one of the freeways and/or an activity going on in Houston or Galveston.

Yep, list the day of the week and if near any holiday - those can darn near double txskier's estimate

Also don't forget about the time at the airport. If your plane is set to land at 9:30, there is still maybe 30-60+ minutes to deplane, claim bags, find shuttle, wait for other pax, etc.

Arriving IAH 9:30 am ----NO PROBLEM

Arriving Hobby up to 11:00 am ----NO PROBLEM

Neither are at rush hours

and "major" construction projects are not happening currently.

Those projects that snarred traffic over the last couple of years

(the fly over at Nasa Rd One on 45) is 95 % finished.

Construction projects should not be a problem.

Thanks for the info. Don't really like flying in day of but just might have to with this trip. It will be on a Sunday in March so it looks ok.

Just make sure it isn't one of the 2 main spring break weekends in Texas (mid march). Traffic will be backed up to Houston trying to get to the island. Our last 2 spring breaks have been ridiculously crowded!
