Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted March 3, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2015 Is there a Park and Ride close to Port Miami and if so what does it cost per day and does it require advance reservations?
JohninDC Posted March 3, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2015 Nope. :( You can search this board for several threads about off-site parking near POM - several companies that use the names "Premier" and "Safe" Some love the savings and had no issues, others report bad service, no show shuttles, and vandalized cars. It's your car - do you feel lucky?
Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted March 3, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted March 3, 2015 Thank you for your reply. Maybe we'll just take one of the limo services from our area. We haven't had really good luck with them either, to tell the truth. It is particularly iffy on the return. Thye sort of show up when they want. JohninDC Posted March 3, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2015 (edited) www.parksleepfly.com and www.stay123.com are two sources for hotels offering cruise parking deals -- all will be away from downtown and mostly near the MIA airport. None include a shuttle from POM back to your car, so figure on a $25-30 cab ride. Parking at POM is convenient, covered and secure - but costs $20/day. Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted March 4, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted March 4, 2015 Thank you, John in DC. We have parked at POM many times and do like it, but this is a two-week cruise, so the $20.00 dail fee adds up. I think a limo from our town will be the cheapest. I also enjoy help with luggage.
