Sailaway57 Posted August 31, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2015 Oceania ( Nautica) is the first liner I have found who refused to open its gym to allow early morning access. Some people have a life style that includes exercise before 6 am ! Their response is to go to the deck ...and compete with the early morning cleaning crew and their pressure hoses etc. Totally NOT impressed by their attitude and excuses. Not sailing with them again. Kwaj girl Posted September 3, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 3, 2015 Is the gym possibly located in an area that would aggravate passengers trying to sleep directly below? I am a fellow "gym rat" but no way would I want to annoy a fellow passenger by noise created as I run on the treadmill above them..... Sailaway57 Posted September 4, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted September 4, 2015 I wouldn't think anyone below would hear due to the thick floors. They didn't even try that excuse! C.
navyvet8395 Posted November 3, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 3, 2015 I had a cabin directly under the gym on a Carnival Fantasy class ship. Yea you can hear the people above on the treadmills and some dropping weights on floor. Im sure its the same way on all other ships as far as noise goes. That sounds like a HIgh End cruise line and they probably have "snobbish" people on there that complain allot so they changed the hours the gym is open..
