How Do I Upgrade?

I am sailing on Celebrity Constellation in March. Inside cabin. I have heard of people being selected for free upgrades.

How does this happen?

How do I go about upgrading?

I kept calling and being a pest

We have only had one free upgrade. It was through Princess from a mini suite to a full suite. I understand they don't do this anymore.

I would call cruise line directly, especially if I wasn't happy with the room I had booked.

MOst cruise lines have tiered memebrships and will offer any upgrades available to their most frequesnt customers. Even as Diamond on RC, I don't get, nor do I expect, upgrades. They will go to Diamond Plus and Pinnacle members

Do it. The cruise line may have a waiting list and add your name.

MOSTLY the category is within itself but on a higher deck.

So when you see free upgrades that is what you are getting.

Each deck has at least 2 different categories and going to the next deck up will give you 2 more different categories

no, the agency owns your booking. All requests will have to go through that agency that you booked with

This has happened to us several times. We book a "minimum guarantee". Sometime after final payment has been made they will offer a promotion with lower prices with the caveat: "New bookings only" or "Not applicable to prior bookings". As we've paid more then other folks now booking at the minimum rate...we've been upgraded.
