Southendweather Posted July 31, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2015 I was putting together a list of Free WiFi spots for a cruise we will be doing in September and I came across these two websites that are very usefull. So I thought I would share with you... http://www.wificafespots.com/wifi/ Select the 'Country' then the location/City. Zoom in the Map to yoiur nearest location, click on the pin and the name of the place and WiFi details are dsiplayed. http://crew-center.com/crew-maps Similar to above, but not as many. This also shows other useful information, supermarkets etc. This is designed for crew members. Hope this is of some help. Rare Hlitner Posted August 4, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 4, 2015 Here is my valuable tip for free internet in ports. Simply ask the crew! Chances are excellent that your waiter, cabin steward, bar tender, etc. will know where to go. Hank
dabear Posted August 4, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 4, 2015 Agree with Hank. WE'VE ALSO ASKED CREW OR LOCAL SHOP OWNERS NEAR THE PORT AND ALWAYS FOUND FREE WI-FI SPOTS.
Southendweather Posted August 23, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted August 23, 2015 Always handy to know as I tend to download things and read/use off line and I find what takes me 30 seconds to download at home can take 10 minutes on the ship. I wish they would charge per MByte not per minute it is so frustrating. Keith (Southend)
