cellphone settings

Please,one more time can someone tell me the proper settings to set on our phones when we embark on the ship? I'm having a hard time finding these details again..... thanks!

Depends on what you want to do with the phone.

1. Turn it off completely

2. Put it in airplane mode only (this will allow you to see the time, note that this time will remain in the same time zone as you are currently in when the phone was placed into airplane mode. Will not change with time zone change. and can listen to music or watch anything you have dowmloaded. Will not take or make phone calls or text messages

3. Put in airplane mode and then turn on wifi to connect. When connected can text, and use apps. No cellular roaming charges or cellular connectivity.

4. Put in airplane mode, turn on wifi, turn on wifi calling. Will not connect to cellular carrier. Will allow VOIP calling, and everything else.
