When do you get assigned your room?

Morning, this will be our first time booking a guarantee balcony.

We are going on Carnival Freedom Sept 22. 2014. Are we notified

prior to leaving or do I find out when I get to the port. I did the booking

online so never spoke with anyone.

Keep checking your online status. It could be assigned any time until you reach the pier. And even after they assign you a cabin, it could change. EM

Most likely it will not be given till you board sometimes they do assign prior.. I booked a guarantee balcony but when I wasn't sure about where I would be located I paid the extra to choose my room hate to be stuck on the front of the shop due to motion..anyway I was just on the freedom the weather was perfect and the ship hardly moved felt like we were on land it was that good,had a blast with the family..
