3 hours in Colon

Our 10-day transit of the Panama Canal in Oct. 2017 has a 3-hour stop (5-8 pm) in Colon. Wondering if we can even get off the ship?

Normally there is time to get off the ship and pick up that obligatory T shirt or some other memento. There is a mall connected to where the ship docks which is safe to wander around in the various shops. Other than that there is nothing else as the stop isn't long enough to take any tours.

Your 3-hr stop....if like ours, will be only good to restock your Aspirins, Candy Bars, postcards etc in the adjoining 'Duty-free' arcade. LocoLoco1

The dockside "flea market/shopping area" is about the only place there is to go. You don't want to be wandering in Colon. It's not a great area at all.
