Excellent cruise in the Med

Having just returned from a 10 day cruise on Mariner (Rome to Istanbul) we just wanted to report that this was one of our best cruises with Regent.

The crew were all excellent - friendly, efficient and attentive service throughout. This reflects well on the training and leadership on board.

Dining was a pleasure - delicious food, well prepared and perfect service, both in CR and the specialty restaurants. Two particularly agreeable evenings in Signatures. Some very acceptable complementary wines but a shame that both NZ and Chilean Sauvignon Blanc have been removed from the complementary list.

The entertainment team were superb - excellent on stage and very interactive with guests. Special mention must go to Joanne Bacon (singer) and Nathan Barry (dancer) - their talents and personalities should take them a long way.

A really diverse mixture of guests on the cruise, both in nationality and age group. We were very worried on one of our cruises last year that the average age of the passengers had risen to such a degree that we felt we had entered an old folks home. We were very glad to see that Regent's marketing and 'offers' appear to be broadening their client base. There were quite a few 'new to Regent' and 'new to cruising' that we met.

Finally the weather was perfect and we had mill-pond calm seas all the way. How did Regent arrange that?? ;);)

Now planning for our next Regent experience - hope they keep up the standards. :)
