etluv2cruise Posted November 23, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2014 Can you please tell me how are the beds for the 3rd and 4th person in the cabin are being setup? Are they being suspended from both sides of the cabin wall? Thank you.
Rare Essiesmom Posted November 23, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 23, 2014 This is E520 on Coral. Note the bunks for 3/4 person are in the ceiling.
etluv2cruise Posted November 24, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted November 24, 2014 Oh, Wow! Thank you so very much, Essisesmom for the photo. It is SO NEAT! No wonder I could not locate any photo of any Coral or Island Princess cabin showing either pullman or sofa beds for the 3rd and 4th passengers. Rare Essiesmom Posted November 24, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 24, 2014 Unless you are the person staying in the cabin, using the uppers, it is difficult to get a picture of the bunks down. I run around taking pictures, but the cabin stewards get in right after the guests leave and stow them back up in the ceiling. This picture is of a huge OV cabin on MSC Divina, just to show what the bunk looks like down. EM
etluv2cruise Posted November 24, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted November 24, 2014 Thank you for the photo, Essiesmom. Now I have pretty good idea on how the accommodation will be configured.
WeLove2Sail Posted November 25, 2014 #6 Share Posted November 25, 2014 Hello. We are also looking at a four person oceanview room but it is four adult friends not a family with small kids. Does anyone know if there is a weight limit for people sleeping on the upper berths? That photo of it folded down from the ceiling looks like it is only being supported by hinges along the one side. Has anyone had personal experience sleeping on an upper bunk on any Princess ships? Thank you.
Rare Essiesmom Posted November 26, 2014 #7 Share Posted November 26, 2014 I believe the uppers are rated for at least 250#, possibly more. EM
serene56 Posted November 27, 2014 #8 Share Posted November 27, 2014 (edited) ^ i agree-- its 250 lbs. My kids are over 6 feet tall and slept in upper beds comfortably Keeping the bottom beds apart will give you MUCH more floor space Edited November 27, 2014 by serene56
