Not huge increases but enough that you could get caught out not having enough local currency before getting to a ATM

 

 

Despite all the news coverage over the last years, Greece is still in the Euro. So no need for local currency (yet?).

@Alex71 - I think he meant "local currency" for those of us who don't live in countries which use the Euro? Also, in my area, credit cards are readily accepted at most places so I might not have $20 USD cash on me. Restaurants will even split dinner bills on multiple credit cards, though I don't personally like to encourage this practice as it seems like it creates a lot of hassle for the server and introduces confusion on how much to charge per card.

Just don't try walking down. We thought we'd have a bit of exercise but it's a killer on the knees and you have to watch your feet all the way down to avoid the donkey poo.

 

Take the cable car both ways :)
