This is a different kind of cruising, I guess - a barge tied up at the Linlithgow Canal Centre. I snapped this while I was waiting for my wife at the railway station; the canal is just a hundred yards' walk away

Son Dan's family visited for the week and visited the park four times in

six days. On one of those trips he sponsored a day of park-hopping and

family fun for all. It was a great week even without the Disney Day.

We bought the flowering plant in April last year only to have it decimated by possums (which apparently love these plants). Put under chicken wire, the plant recovered well and has recently sprouted a nice number of buds (out through the wire ...) Hope nobody tells the possums!!!

Beautiful peaceful river shot, Alan! And of course, the Disneyland shot plays to me, being a big Disney fan. I would love to be sympathetic to the 93 degrees in San Diego, but we've been at 90 plus rampant humidity already for nearly 2 weeks! A lovely flower too, Boeckli.

For me, if I'm around home and not on vacation, then I'm probably spending my weekends shooting wildlife. So, here are some more wildlife pics with my mirrorless cam and new lens, which I'm enjoying:

Raccoon climbing a tree for some berries:

Big boy - a 12 foot alligator crossing the levee to get to the other side:

Big wood stork coming back with some nest material:

Pretty little black-necked stilt walking the shallows:
