Krazy Kruizers Posted July 20, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2013 Welcome to Cruise Critic. Per CC board rules -- you need to ask this question on your Roll Call. Just scroll down until you find your cruise ship -- open that up -- and scroll down until you find the date on your cruise. Krazy Kruizers Posted July 20, 2013 #3 Share Posted July 20, 2013 Checking the itineraries, it appears that you are on the Statendam -- leaving Vancouver on July 28 and arriving in Seward at Aug 4th. Here is your Roll Call -- very inactive: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1851998
mapleleaves Posted July 20, 2013 #4 Share Posted July 20, 2013 If you have a car lined up in Anchorage, you obviously aren't rushing to catch a flight. Whats the hurry? The Park Connection Bus and Seward Bus lines have scheduled service to Anchorage, arriving around 1pm. Leaves you plenty of time to pick up a car and drive to the next destination. AKman2495 Posted July 20, 2013 #5 Share Posted July 20, 2013 One more thing...It is 127 miles from Seward to Anchorage...That is some crazy "cab" ride..... As mapleleaves pointed put, there are many other ways to get from Seward to Anchorage....some might be more interesting....
Budget Queen Posted July 20, 2013 #6 Share Posted July 20, 2013 I would also definitely encourage you to stay and at least enjoy an activity in Seward. Well worth the time, many excellent adventures to consider. A winner is a Kenai fjord boat tour, which is loaded with varied wildlife. This then hooks up with the Alaska RR, another jackpot of scenery. :) Otherwise, with an inactive roll call, be prepared for making the decision of paying for the whole cost, plus tip.
