Athens early-seaside hotel? Other sites than the Acropolis?

We're on a land tour of Greece before our cruise starts, so we'll have spent 2 full days in Athens already. So we have a day after the land tour before the cruise starts. Is there a nice seaside resort or something interesting to do in and about Athens???

Take the ferry from Piraeus to Aegina.

athens is full of beaches.i would suggest you stay at vouliagmeni area of athens

thats the best seaside area for swimming and night life during summer!!you can also take a small ferry from piraeus to aegina hydra poros or spetses..for me the most beautiful is hydra ofcourse.if you want to eat sth nice dont go for eating to plaka or thiseio..there are only tourist restaurants over there..we greeks never eat there..just go anywhere else and eat with the locals..almost all greeks speak english and we are very easy to talk to very friendly...except if you are german lol we dont get along very well with these guys!!!enjoy have fun in athens
