Eating in San Juan

What are the best places to check out for eating, coffee or drinks for the day in San Juan?

I am wondering this, too. We are looking for a casual dinner place that has some good Puerto Rican food. (Or just good food in general)

I recommend Punto De Vista in OSJ at the rooftop of the Milano Hotel. Laid back, great mofungo, and buy one get one free mojitos all day!

On the free trolley route, we found Chocobar. It was amazing!

I know it sounds weird eating pizza when surrounded by great PR food

However, found this place on yelp last time I was there walking around and had a great thin crust pizza - I couldn't decide between two so got a half and half - had enough to take back on the boat for am snacks:)

If you are staying in Old San Juan, best local food Aji Dulce Restaurant. For lunch try La Mallorquina, Casa Cortes Chocobar( good food besides the Chocolate) Cueva Del Mar for seafood and puertorican food. If in city, take taxi to Plaza del Mercado( full of restaurants and fun at night) Or walk Condado area. Most places close Monday.

Pirilo Pizza Rustica

This place is great, empanadas and pizza are the best. Sit upstairs if you can, you will not be disappointed eating a meal here. We are going back to OSJ in October and look forward to eating here at least twice.
