sjlogghe Posted January 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2015 3 in our group, and we'd like to get massages or some spa service while on our cruise. Is it beneficial to book ahead of time, like now for our February 21st cruise? Or will there still be availability once we board? My friend was thinking they offer specials on embarkation day, so was thinking we should wait. Is she remembering correctly? I don't want to wait for the deal, and then not be able to get in for our relaxation! :)

Massages are cheaper while the ship is in port....but still 2-3x's the price you can get on land. And it is no problem to wait until you are on board. CheckersMidwest Posted January 28, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2015 The last sea day is booked full really quick. They have different specials each day.......like a list of massage services (mini facial, shoulder & neck, exfoliation, scalp massage, etc) and offer a pick 3 services for $99. Lots of other specials too. I'd wait and book onboard.
serene56 Posted January 28, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 28, 2015 I'd wait til you get onboard and read the fun times each night. Specials happen all week.
jamesr3939 Posted January 28, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 28, 2015 I too vote to wait. If you like deep tissue try the bamboo massage. It will give new meaning to "deep."
Miller_KC Posted January 28, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 28, 2015 You can also negotiate if you want something that is not on special. When the spa staff don't have customers they have to stand out at the little table a sell services. They would rather book an appointment with you and do something they get paid for. Also look for services on shore. Many of the beaches have really great massages at good prices.
