Me too! Though some didn't care for his stories we enjoyed them. He had a very dry sense of humour and some amusing and interesting tales to tell. Thomson have had some Captains who were real characters over the years; Capt Alan Leach, the BBC (Big Bald Capt) Gier Larsson (I'll never forget his commentary down the Fjords on his home turf) and Capt. Olbrich. We remember some great cruises with them.

I also enjoyed his tales, some Were very funny, used to look forward to them on an afternoon!
