Hazydavo Posted October 30, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 30, 2014 Hi all, We have found ourselves in a situation where we are booked (and fully paid) on a RCI cruise that leaves in 25 days but something very important has come up that we need to go to (very important) in the middle of that cruise. So rather than just cancel the cruise we'd like to transfer to the very next cruise (same ship). So transfer the value of our cruise to the next one. Is this possible at all? Don't mind paying some sort of fee. Thanks in advance!
Clarea Posted October 30, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 30, 2014 I'd call Royal and discuss your situation with them. There's a small chance they may let you change without penalty.
Hazydavo Posted October 30, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted October 30, 2014 Thanks, I don't mind if there's a penalty...as long as it's reasonable that is :)
molly361 Posted October 30, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 30, 2014 They allowed me to change once after final payment but the cruise I changed to cost a little more than the original one. Like Bob said give them a call. Good luck!!
Hazydavo Posted October 30, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted October 30, 2014 The next cruise is actually cheaper for us...
MommaBear55 Posted October 30, 2014 #6 Share Posted October 30, 2014 (edited) It never hurts to ask but do not be surprised if the answer is no. I would expect that only a supervisor would have the power to grant an exception. Please let us know how it goes Edited October 30, 2014 by MommaBear55
Hazydavo Posted October 30, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted October 30, 2014 Will do. Can't call till the morning. Is it better to call C&A?
Hazydavo Posted October 30, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted October 30, 2014 Do you think a TA would have a better chance? Not even sure if it would be possible to transfer to a TA a this late stage??

molly361 Posted October 30, 2014 #11 Share Posted October 30, 2014 Let us know how you make out. Whomever you call at RCL will probably need to go thru a Supervisor or more likely the Resolutions Dept.
