SeymourKopath Posted March 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2014 We're not beach people, so we're looking for some recommendations for sites to see or things to do other than going to a beach or on a boat. Shopping is one obvious idea. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Marigot has a fort with a magnificent view of other islands. It also has a beautiful harbor, restaurants and quaint shops. Grand Case is just a little farther down the road. It is considered to be the culinary capital of the Caribbean. Beautiful beach with calm waters and one excellent restaurant after another lining the main street. It was the highlight of our cruise as we enjoyed an amazing lunch at Le Tastevin with a view of the water.

OCruisers Posted March 14, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 14, 2014 In addition to going to Marigot for a wonderful meal ... you might consider going on the Butterfly reserve tour. :) LuLu

Marigot to see the lovely views from the fort, iced coffee and pasteries from Serafina's bakerey and shop at the Marigot Market ( best on Wed and Sat) as more artisans are there then. CanWeGoYet Posted March 29, 2014 #9 Share Posted March 29, 2014 Are you outdoorsy people? You could rent kayaks/stand up boards and paddle from Cul de Sac to Pinel Island and go hiking...That's what we're doing on our trip coming up. Rental is through Caribbean Paddling http://www.caribbeanpaddling.com . He has great reviews on Trip Advisor and the reservation process has been pain free...Great pricing...So if you're adventurous and want to try something nature based, go for it! They have snorkeling rentals as well...Sorry if this is irrelevant to you (if you don't want to be on the water at all) but my thoughts in posting are that it doesn't have to be beach based even if you are out on the water :D
