Can anyone Recommend a Good Selfie Stick ?

Sorry, I do not have advice on a particular brand - but for the other's questioning your need...

1] Some peoples' stature benefits from a device that can elevate the camera above the surrounding, naturally taller photographers. Perhaps OP is confined to a wheelchair or other infirmity that prohibits them from being at the same level as most around them.

2] Possibly tired of "pro" photographers standing in prime spots for selfish amounts of time, and just wants to get a similar shot and move on.

3] Perhaps OP is creative enough to recognize the benefits of altered perspectives, i.e: ground level shots, vertical shots that are uncomfortable/undoable without an aid, and is just creative in general.

I hope someone can actually help you out, and happy photography!

I will not comment on selfie sticks as my comments would get me banned on CC. However, with regard to your comment about "pro" photographers, if I get up early enough or I plan ahead to get a prime spot, I am not giving up my spot for those people who want to borrow my spot "for just a second" but could not be bothered to get there as early as I did.

I use a small monopod (Velbon Ultra Stick) to elevate my camera or to provide extra reach. It is much sturdier than your typical selfie stick and with a little judicious use of the self-timer, I don't really need a remote. It collapses to just over 10 inches and extends to just under five feet. Incredibly handy.

It is also quite solid when actually used as a monopod.
