Taxi Cost?

If you exit the port and walk 100 ft past the gate the taxis there are lined up, only $2 pp into Mahahual. The 'taxis' from inside the port are group shuttles similar to the St. Thomas buses with multiple stops. The real taxis are direct. Follow any of the green emergency exit signs to the parking lot behind the shops (if there are tours departing when you are there you will see the big tour buses), cross the parking lot to the gate, walk outside the gate to the middle-of-the-street pedestrian walkway and the taxis are a few yards down on your right. There is often a guy inside the port complex asking if you want a 'taxi' but he is the shuttle guy; just say you want to walk downtown and where is the exit.
