Walking to Calico Jacks

Calico Jack's is way too far to walk. Take a bus or a cab.

The bus is really easy to get to from the port. Harbor Dr. runs right in front of the port. Cross the street and head east down Fort St. about 2 blocks (1 long block, 1 short block). Turn right on Edward St. and you will see the buses (actually just vans) lined up between the first 2 buildings on the left. When went a few weeks ago, a driver was waiting on the sidewalk and he asked us if we were looking for the bus. Be ready for a lot of stops and a bus load of friendly locals. We were dropped off in front of the public beach next to Calico Jack's 10 minutes later. It was $2.50 a person, so I just gave the driver a ten for the 3 of us.

Catching the bus back was a lot harder and we ended up just taking one of the $5 a head shuttles from Calico Jack's. We were hot and tired and ready to head back and I didn't feel like dealing with the hassle of getting a 3 year old back to the street to catch the bus.
