Which would you choose to dive...

Planning to cruise to St Thomas, St Croix, Antigua, St Lucia and Grenda...which would you choose for diving (and with who...?)

Of the places you mentioned, I've only had a chance to dive in St. Thomas. We used St. Thomas Diving Club and really enjoyed it. They gave very professional briefings and were easy to work with. They have a big presence on FB as well, so if you search for them, you'll see they post lots of photos.

I've dived at St. Lucia once, and St. Thomas twice. Both are great, but I would choose St. Lucia.

At St Thomas, we went to Coki Beach twice, think it was the St. Thomas dive club. I did boat dives there both times. Quite good.

In St. Lucia, went so Dive St. Helen, to Superman's Flight. If you dive there, ask for this site, or something by the pitons. You can only see the pitons well from the sea (on boat), so be sure to go for that. It was very nice dive.

In Antigua, the good diving is in the south side and you need to get transportation there, 1/2 hr drive. We arranged dive/snorkel combo there, followed by island tour, and quite a few places, including the Hells Gate Canyon.

My husband had dived in St. Thomas, St. Croix and St. Lucia and his favorite of the three was St. Lucia.

In St. Thomas, he used both Blue Water and Coki Dive. While they were both fine, he has chosen not to dive there again on our next trip. In St. Croix he has dived twice with Sweet Bottom Dive at the Renaissance Carambola. He enjoyed both dives. In St. Lucia, we went to TiKaye Resort and he dived with Island Divers. The resort was great and the dive well done.

We went diving in Antigua (used Indigo Divers) and Grenada (used Eco Dive & Trek) - out of the two, we enjoyed Grenada more - but had great experiences with both dive shops and would definitely recommend them both.

We like relaxed diving... so here's my recommendations:

St. Thomas - beach or boat through Coki. Peter has some really great dive sites.

If you want something a little more wrecky, Blue Island does some good wreck diving. If you're up for rough water, that is.

St. Lucia - we have had great trips through Island Divers.

Grenada -we had a great trip through Dive Grenada. Unfortunately, the last time we were there, the port times just didn't work out, but hopefully we can catch them next time.
