dln929 Posted March 14, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 14, 2014 Is this general advice or applying to this area in particular?. One in the same, really. Seasickness respects no oceans. If you're prone to it, prepare for it no matter where you cruise. Here's another general website that will lead you to data on specific bodies of water. http://www.oceanweather.com/data/

There were 4 sea days and I was sick 3 of them. The tenders were horrible. I was taking meclizine as always plus butler brought me candied ginger and ginger ale. There were no storms in the area just swells. I hadn't been sea sick since 2002 on the St Lawrence River sailing east of Quebec City on HAL. The purser gave me meclizine and it worked for 11 years until I sailed on the Quest. Thinking I need larger ships after that experience. BTW my DH was never bothered for a minute. That's interesting GrannyDi. In 2007, we sailed through a massive storm on Quest, which required us to debark at Tampa, instead of Miami. The seas were some of the roughest I've ever seen... and we thought Quest handled it amazingly well. After taking one look at the ocean (I didnt do that again !) I fully expected to get sick, none of us got seasick. Of course, everyone is different. Edited March 14, 2014 by Host Andy
