How are Forward Mini -Suites on Coral?

This link was posted on the roll call for our upcoming cruise. It has many pictures and explanations of cabin locations, whether the balcony is covered or not, etc. I found this very helpful in selecting our cabin location and deck preference. I hope others find it helpful as well.

We just did a 7 day southbound after our Alaska land tour. We were on Island but, aside from the aft revisions, it's the same as Coral. We had a "window mini suite". I had no idea those existed. It's a regular mini suite but there is no balcony and the space that would normally be the balcony is included in the cabin. It felt quit large and we were fine with the window instead of a balcony..it was only a few steps to the door out to the forward viewing deck. We liked it quite a bit.

Looks like the forward deck will be perfect for Alaska (but on the Island). Are those doors sometimes locked?

Those forward decks are also open on the Island Princess - at least they were on our cruise in April this year (Panama canal transit).

BTW, we had no issues with the 'new' changes to the ship. It's still a great ship. (YMMV)

Just for future readers, this is shot of the Coral and forward rooms:

Quick question, I am new to Princess, but have just booked a cruise on Coral.

I know there is a forward "balcony" on the BAJA deck from reading this thread.

Are there any other forward balconies on the ship, or just on BAJA?
