TUI Discovery - Dry Dock Progress?

Evening all,

I would like to follow the progress of RCI Splendor of the Seas being changed over to TUI Discovery.

Is anyone able to advise where I may be able to follow the progress please?

its going to cadiz if they have a web cam, some of the crew be will going on early too

I think there may possibly be one update as work progresses from Thomson itself but other than that - it depends on if you know anyone on the ship who will let you know.

Splendour is now berthed in Venice so I imagine they have disembarked all the passengers by now. I wonder when she will sail for Cadiz?

According to marine traffic she is sailing for Dubrovnik. Is the last cruise not yet over?

Discovery has now left Dubrovnik and is on the way to Cadiz.

I suppose they were changing crews in Dubrovnik.

so when does it officially become the Discovery?

Marine tracking is still labelling it Splend...

Maybe they're not changing labels until the official first journey as Discovery.

She should arrive in Cadiz tomorrow afternoon.

I am hoping Thomson may post some update photos on their Facebook page other than that I have not been able to find any other sources.

Currently in the 'dead zone' east of Gibraltar and no AIS signal for over 24 hours. To arrive in Cadiz on time she should be appearing on the marine traffic site soon.

I wonder how many of three crew will be taken on by Thomson. Presume Captain will g to another RC ship, but what of the minions?

Rebranding has started!!

I spoke to a few of the crew on our 29th March cruise and only one of them was staying on for the transition and he was in charge of IT. Our cabin steward was going to Adventure along with quite a few others. The concierge was going to Grandeur and dining room staff were being scattered far and wide amongst the RCI fleet.
