Conch train

We have excursion money and are looking at doing the conch train or trolley through the ship. The description makes it sound like a tour. Is it still possible to hop on hop off?

The trolley is HOHO, but the Conch Train is not. One thing...I've known some cruise lines in the past to keep the group together on the trolley and not allow the HOHO.
