We are hoping to do a Rhone river cruise in 2012. Could you please make some recommendations of cruise lines...have looked at Viking and Avalon...are there any others, preferably mid priced that we should consider? FRiends of ours are doing Tauck, but that is WAY out of our league!

We are doing a 14 day Rhone cruise next year with Vantage. The MS Rembrandt only holds 78 passengers, so it is a little more expensive. The early booking price starts at $4400, but that includes air, transfers, and excursions.

Check out their website for details

We just returned from our Uniworld Rhine cruise on the SS Antoinette. We had a group of 18. We had an amazing time! The ship is absolutely beautiful. The best beds -Soo comfortable. The staff treated us like we were visiting their home - they could not have done more for us. The food was delicious. It was worth every penny! I cannot wait to take another Uniworld cruise.

We have travelled with Swan Hellenic on the Rhone and the accomodation, food and excursions were excellent. Swan are a British Company and the emphasis is on quality lecturers/shore excursions. The price is good too.
