When we went to Nassau it was on a Carnival Live cruise (2 yrs ago) so we were there from 7 am - 11 pm. We got our Aqua Adventure tickets thru "Resort for a Day" online 92. It was totally worth it for us to pay the $125 (adult) and $95 (kids) prices because we were in port for SO long. If I remember correctly, the park doesn't open until 9 am.

Slides open at 10. It really depends on the time of year, time in port, and ages/interests of those in your party. You can purchase passes directly from the Atlantis website.

When we went to Atlantis years ago, you could tour the complex, see the aquarium, etc for free. When we went last year you couldn't go past the casino unless you bought a day pass for $40 per person. They said people staying at the hotel had complained about all the cruise people walking around so they put a price on it. I guess if you want to do the waterpark it may be worth the money, I don't know - have never done it, but just to walk around and look at it - a total rip off in my opinion...

Will be in Nassau with Carnival Live cruise on May 11th. We have almost decided to do the whole "Atlantis" thing since we are in port so long. My questions for you, since you did it, are: #1-will we be able to hang out after the water park closes to see the aquarium/eat/casino? #2-what time should we leave to go back to the ship? #3-do they have towels or should we bring ours? Thanks! (any other advice would be appreciated!)

Hi KJ Morgan,

Yes you will be allowed to walk around the casino, eateries, and shops after the park closes. We did all of this while we were there. We headed back to the ship around 5-5:30 because our concert time was 8:30 and we had MTD, so we could change, eat, and get in line for the concert. The line started forming about 45 mins to an hour before concert time (because there is no assigned seating-----but honestly there isn't a "bad" seat in the showroom). I suggest bringing your pool towels to use at Atlantis. If I remember correctly, they do have towels for rent there at the park

If you plan on eating at any of the cafe's inside the main hotel, bring dry clothing with you because they wont allow you to sit in the cafe with wet clothing. There are also PLENTY of places to eat/drink at the park too.Other than that, there isn't anything out of the ordinary that I can remember to warn you about :)

Have a wonderful cruise and enjoy Atlantis!

Thanks for the replies! One more question, please: should we get lockers (are they convenient to get to throughout the day), or should we rent a cabana? I know they are pricey ($110), but we are going to be there all day and it might be nice to have a "homebase". We aren't going to the concert so we plan to do the waterpark/beaches up until closing then see the aquarium/casino etc.. Any thoughts?

I would rent the cabana! Totally worth the cost. You can actually email them and reserve one (wish I would have known this before we went because they were all full). Lounge chairs fill up quickly as well (those are free though) depending on how many ships are in port. If you choose to not get a cabana, then yes get a locker. There are a few locations around the park for those. I honestly don't remember the cost of those but it was more than likely reasonable or I wouldn't have gotten one lol :)
