Payment method to take Skytrain

Hi,

I will have an Alaska Cruise trip(Whitter to Vancouver) next week, and I plan to take the skytrain at the water front station to the Vancouver airport after the cruise.

Does anyone know the Payment method to pay the Skytrain fare? Does the ticket machine accept US credit card?

Cash or Credit will work. I don't see why it wouldnt take a US card, it would charge in CDN and you cc company will take care of exchange.

We use our US credit cards. One thing we have run into is that if you do not clear your cards for international travel, ours trigger a fraud alert when we use them at sky train stations. They work once then decline. Solution...let your card issuer know. Sometimes our visits north are spontaneous..it's Saturday, let's run up to Vancouver..lol

Is the Discover Card accepted?

No - it is not very common in Canada.

Even American Excess cards are phased out by some business to avoid the high merchant fees. Some demand cash only.
