Transfer from Marina Bay Port to changi Airport.

There will be 2 of us with luggage needing to go to the airport. We thought about ordering a taxi but need recommendations? Though we would wait until about 10.00am to reduce surcharge but we know there is an additional charge to the airport. We have a late flight and our airline will let us drop off luggage early. We could then spend some time in Singapore. What is transport like back into town?

Taxis in Singapore are relatively inexpensive, even with surcharges. With just the 2 of you and some luggage, you can easily take a taxi from Marina Bay Cruise Center to the Airport. Even during peak, it should cost you more than $25 SGD.

In terms of getting back to town, you can take the MRT, which is connected to the airport. But since you only have a day and are short of time, why not just take a taxi back to Singapore city, or visit a place of attraction. Much faster that way.

Alternatively, you can deposit your bags at the MBCC and then go back to MBCC later in the afternoon to retrieve the bags and go to the airport.

Depending on your airline , they also have the cruise/fly service where you check your bags in at the cruise terminal.

We are thinking of getting off the ship, storing our cases and nipping off into the city for a few hours. As out flight back to the Uk isn't till 23.00.

We will get a taxi from marina to airport is about S $30 the right amount needed ? As we will want to ensure we don't bring foreign currency back. This is a once in a life time trip! :D
