Downgrade offer on Mariner???

Recommended Posts

Kathy, was the Alaskan cruise that we were both on, the inaugural for Mariner? I thought it was, but my TA at the time was so not luxury cruise savvy, and neither were we.

Yes, Pam - It was June 4, 2001 - the inaugural sailing for the then Radisson Mariner. I remember the F&B manager going to Costco to buy supplies - they ran out of everything, rented a truck and went shopping in Juneau.

We were upgraded to a D cabin; The ship crossed the Atlantic to Florida, did a sailing through the Panama Canal. 2nd cruise was LA to Vancouver and then Vancouver to Seward. It was perfection. And the fare was $2100 a person for 11 days plus $800 in cabin credit.
