Good question. I am such a hermit, I stay at home over New Year's Eve.

How brave are you and do you suffer from claustrophobia?

We spent New Years Eve at Marina Bay a few years back. Shared it with 1 million other people (not an exaggeration). Lots of bands and music...especially for the young. At midnight....the quickest and loudest fireworks display I've ever seen(heard). No OH&S rules here!

Then it's the walk of shame back to the nearest MRT Station. There's no choice...you just get drawn along by the crowd, shoulder to shoulder and get where you get.

All good natured and no yobbos like back home. A real experience.
