wripro Posted November 30, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 30, 2013 I'm sure that if you google the Opera House you will find a seating plan. That should give you a better idea.
Janman Posted November 30, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted November 30, 2013 I have looked at the seating plan but that doesn't give any suggestion about which area is best for viewing the orchestra.
Murgat Posted December 2, 2013 #4 Share Posted December 2, 2013 (edited) Attending a fixed one price symphony concert and have the choice of seating in Rear Circle, Choir or Organ. Which is best? Depends on your point of view, no pun intended. The Organ and Choir sections are behind the orchestra, so you get a good view of the conductor's technique. The back circle is further away and facing the orchestra so you get the back of conductor,s head and a somewhat distant view of the players in the orchestra. I have not sat in the back circle, preferring the side boxes so cannot comment on the acoustic quality. From memory of Messiah performances (not that recent) the choir section and the organ seating is not individual padded chairs but benches intended for performances with choirs.
