LuckiePuris Posted October 29, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 29, 2015 (edited) Hi there, We have cruised on solstice and tried all three specialty restaurants and really enjoyed them. We also loved the quality of food in main dining room for dinner. On our cruise again next month, we're wanting to do the three restaurant specialty package but at the same time not miss the dining room meals. Can anyone confirm if silks is available for lunches, and if we could use the package for two dinners and one lunch? If silks is only open for dinner, we'll give the package a pass and just book Tuscan and Murano on their own. We loved silks and would definitely do dinner there on a 10-12 night cruise, but on a 8 night one we wanted to spend more time in the dining room and are happy with just two specialty restaurants. I have often heard that you can get discounts on the individual restaurants when booking onboard. How does this work? Do you need to wait for them to one day offer a discounted rate and then book, or can you ask for a discounted rate on day 1 when booking your dinners for the cruise on embarkation? I will be select captains club - not that high up but still something! Would this help? Thank you! Edited October 29, 2015 by LuckiePuris

There will no longer be a pre-cruise discount. * Exception: Guests who pre-book their specialty dining reservations for the first night of their vacation will still receive a 20% discount. When pre-booking, guests will pay the full price but will get the 20% discount applied as an OBC once onboard.

Are you also able to please give some insight into molecular bar on solstice. When will it finish the changeover? I've heard that there is a mix of molecular and world class drinks on offer. Are all the new world class drinks available now? Thank you
CHEZMARYLOU Posted October 31, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 31, 2015 Even though there is no official pre cruise booking discount, discounts are often offered once you board, especially if the restaurants are not busy, or on days the ship sails late. We had a 50% discount in Normandy the night we overnighted in Quebec. There will be stations set up around the ship to book specialty restaurant reservations. Just ask if they are offering a discount for any restaurants on any night.
Rare keesar Posted October 31, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 31, 2015 Be advised that there may be lunches served in various specialty restaurants on ONE day but with a limited menu. Some of the nicer (to us) items are not included. On our last cruise, we received a 20% discount and it was available on only the first night. Nothing afterwards. However, on previous cruises, 20% was available each evening. I guess it is supply and demand.
LuckiePuris Posted November 2, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted November 2, 2015 Thank you all for your feedback. I'll be sure to ask if they are any discounts offered when booking, but end of the day am happy to pay the normal pricing. Thank you!
