Tampa

Has anyone cruised from Tampa, but not flown there? IE flown to Orlando or another local airport? How did you get there? Flying into Tampa seems pretty pricey (but Im looking in 2 weeks and its spring break week).

Lots of options - Orlando is about 75-90+ minutes away, depending upon traffic and Sanford is a little farther away. St. Petersburg is a smaller airport only about 20 miles away, and Clearwater is closer to 60 miles away. If you get a good deal you can easily drive from MIA, FLL, PBI, or even JAX as long as you fly in a day early.

Most major rental car agencies in FLA do not charge a one-way car rental fee. Good luck! :)

St.Pete-Clearwater Airport (PIE) would be next best choice over flying into Tampa.

Orlando (MCO)- would be the second best choice.

most of these routes are NOT daily. For example there are only 6 arrivals today

St P - C airport is about 11 miles from Tampa Airport and about 15 miles from the cruise terminal

There is a small airport in downtown St Pete but to my knowledge there are no commercial services. this is mostly private aircraft, the city and sherrif helo's etc. The Coast Guard has a large airstation at St Pete - Clearwater (large in that it has C-130 . . .)

About 35 miles from the port would be Sarasota airport

and Orlando International about 75
