Does anybody know if HAL's been able to tendor in Zihuatanejo this year?

I heard the pier was damaged in a storm in 2014 and has not been repaired yet. I also heard that the Amsterdam is suppose to be tendering there soon. Any input would be much appreciated.

The port website says it is closed until sometime next year. Norwegian Sun missed several calls there in the last couple months. I expect it will be a bust

We spend every February there. There is a website called Rob Whitehead's Zihuatanejo.com. Today, Rob said the pier is being partially restored for the holidays. That MIGHT mean cruise ships will be able to tender soon. There are long range plans for restoration, but then, it is Mexico?!?!? The local fisherman are using a very small naval/military base pier, which is unsuitable for tenders.

Could you all give me links? I'm not able to pull this exact info up. Thank you so much for your input!

Thank you for the website info. This is one of my favourite places ever visited. Loved everything about it and the people are so friendly. We plan on going back for a couple of weeks next year.
