pacmom Posted February 3, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2017 Just did it last nite!!!! We are going on Uniworld's Royal Christmas Market cruise on the Seine--Dec. 6. We will be going with friends from college. We managed to secure the last 2 non suite cabins left. This will be our 4th Christmas market cruise--each one different and with different lines. It will also be our 7 Uniworld trip, but this last one was in 2006. Love Paris, love Christmas so this should be a wonderful experience. franski Posted February 4, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2017 Congrats Pat!! Our very 1st river cruise was the Seine with Uniworld... and we loved it. Our Christmas Market cruise was with Uniworld as well... but on the Rhine. They do offer an amazing attention to detail. Have enjoyed all 3 of our cruises with them so far. We are actually back on the Seine in September - but with Avalon. This will be our 13th cruise... so still have some "catch up" to get to your level!!:D They had an amazing deal - and the stops are a bit different than on our cruise with Uniworld - so am looking forward to it. Can't go wrong with Paris.... Fran
pacmom Posted February 5, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted February 5, 2017 JP and Fran, Thanks for the good wishes. The Seine was our first European trip also and on Uniworld before they had their own boats. The Seine Princess, a Croisie boat, was fairly basic . The new one is going to be like going from Motel 6 to the Ritz. This will probably be our last Christmas market trip unless someone starts them on the Elbe. Grand Circle did them the past few years, but has cancelled the whole sailing season on the Elbe for 2017. Pat

Rare jpalbny Posted February 6, 2017 #11 Share Posted February 6, 2017 Pacmom, will this cruise be on the new SS Joie de Vivre? Sent from my SM-G930T using Forums mobile app
pacmom Posted February 6, 2017 Author #12 Share Posted February 6, 2017 Yes, we got the last two non-suite cabins available. Can't wait to see her. When we traveled on the River Royale during her first year , we were blown away by the service and how they had decorated the cabins. Looking forward to hearing about India. caviargal Posted February 8, 2017 #13 Share Posted February 8, 2017 We just booked for the Advent Market cruise with Amadeus - trying something completely new for us in terms of the cruise line. We will be spending time in Salzburg pre-cruise, then taking the train to Vienna to board. We will end with a day in Munich post cruise. This is really our favorite season in Europe and we are already looking forward to it! That will be #17 for us :) across 5 lines.
