Ancient Sites Near Civitavecchia (Besides Ostia Antica)

I just ran across this website while doing some research on Trajan's Basin in the ancient port of Portus. These sites look like they would be easy visits from Civitavecchia in a rental car or via taxi.

Has anyone been to these sites and have an opinion?

Also--next time you fly out of Fiumicino, look to the south for the hexagonal Trajan's Basin--it was the inner harbor at Portus and is still visible today!

I've thought about visiting this site, but from Rome. There is a boat you can take that leaves from Rome and goes down the Tiber to Portus. I think it would be interesting but I've put it off as it seems they are still doing quite a bit of archaeological work on site and I thought I might wait another year or so before visiting.

(It has really only been publicized in the last 2-3 years, I think.)

I'm loving the boat idea. I've often wondered if there are boats that also go UP river on the Tiber, like the ones out of NYC that go up the Hudson.
