Cost of Shuttle or UBER from Port of Miami to Ft. Lauderdale

Our ship (Oceania Insignia) will leave and disembark in Miami but we plan to fly into Ft. Lauderdale a few days earlier before boarding to visit family and friends. We'll have a rental car which we'll return before we board.

The question is, as of this morning, its about $100 per person less to fly round-trip Ft. Lauderdale than Ft. Lauderdale/ Miami. Can anyone let me know what the approximate cost of an UBER would be from POM to the Ft. Lauderdale Airport? Oceania might have a shuttle but I'm guessing that it's cost would eat up any savings we might realize by going round trip Ft. Lauderdale.

Flying round-trip Miami isn't really an option since our Florida itinerary will take us as far north as Palm Beach county on the day we arrive.

We Ubered from FLL to hotel at the Miami pier. It was $40 which was same as shuttle I priced @$20 each. We use FLL because of price too. Uber is the way to go, many drivers wait in the cell lot.

UberX between POM and the FLL area will run about $35-40 depending upon where you are staying. Lots of shared shuttles available for about $15 per person - check SAS, QLS, Go Airport, etc.

We always use Jiffy Jeff Transportation for our transfers to/from POM to/from FLL airport.

Shared rides start st $15pp.

Always had great service from this company.

Thanks for the info. I need shuttle from POM to FLL and I think I used Jiffy in Dec when I sailed Vista.

We also go into FLL for a Miami cruise. We're using MJS - $15pp each way. Can't beat that price. We don't mind a shuttle. Doesn't take that long; done it before.

UberX between FLL and POM is about $35-37 and, can handle 2-3 passengers; no waiting, no extra stops -- we think we've taken our last shuttle. :cool:
