The long and awaited review 18 jan 08 drelix style

Review of cruise from 18th January 08

Woke up heaps early and not excited about the cruise because was more nervous I was forgetting something

and the whether was bad rain then we all got the car packed up and ready for the drive down I was sort of nervous then and happy

at the same time then we finally got down to the Walf 8 at darling harbour and i was expecting to line up for a hour or so

like last time but it was hell of a lot easier this time :) :) then we got on the boat and I have a brother in a wheelchair

so all the people helped us to our room and got them settled in then me and my brother went to our room and waiting for our bags

so we could unpack and it didn’t take long so I unpacked and then went up to that fire drill crap witch is a waste of my time

and the lady hosting had a bad voice i was in the muster station on the international show lounge for people who was on the ship

then after that went and watched us sail out of Sydney in the rain and waving to a mate from the back of the ship and took

some photos then about 630 we went to dinner and had a wonderful dinner then went to the night show witch showed the PD

dancers Liz Layton the comedian /singer shakes my head didn’t like her that much and also had Matt Elsburry as well so

i choice witch shows to appear to that night for the rest of the cruise then after that we went exploring the ship then

went to ed

19th January 08

we was at see we woke up early the weather was fine no rain that was a relief and had a saw throat as and had a buffet breakfast and so i had to have yogurt and muffin for

breakfast then we sat around all day went for a swim in the pool and etc did the usual stuff on board the ship i missed

the show on board that night also cause it was something I did not want to watch so i walked around exploring again

20th of January 08

was getting sick of seeing water and flying fish and other things i wanted to see some land so sat around doing the usual hahaha

I don’t know I sat round doing nothing but relaxin don’t know what else to say

21st

Noumea

got of at Noumea and walked around them markets for a bit then into the town and I was with a group and for the people

who have been there is part were your not to go so my family decide we would until my uncles tell him

We shouldn’t be there cause there was all people standing on the side of the street staring at us and there was no

other tourists about so we walked back and i brought by self a bracelet from the market we went back for lunch

and me and my uncle got back off again and went into the supermarket called casino any ways we was looking around there

and I saw some food from Australia like Milo etc milk from Australian and then I go to the meat part and they eat

meat called Jesus meat I will upload the pictures soon for you umm and also a cholate thing called granny and

alcohol was sold there and it was all cheap there was one called no1 beer in Noumea I wanted to try some but there

was none cold so I did not bye any on the way out me and my uncle saw tourist buying it and they tried to smuggle it back on the ship

but it was taken off them SO ITS NOT WORTH THE TRY we saw the tribal dance they did as we was getting back on witch was good

That night was island night so there was a deck party so I and my 2 uncles stood there knocking back a few watching it all?

And I joined the conger line also hmm witch lead them to the dome lol so I left I did not like the dome much

22nd

isle of pines

got up late-ish for the tender because every one went to bed so late that night got to isle of pines and went to the rock beach thing swam there for a while then went canoeing

at the main beach where the boat is sort of anchored and was pushed of my canoe into the water

on the wake back up i hit my head on the canoe witch hurt so bad and then i had to try get back in stayed there till

after lunch time went back had a shower and got some lunch at about 2:30 ish then dinner was at 6

23rd

we was sailing back to Sydney so we sat around the pool most of the day doin nothing but relaxin at 2pm I went to the hypnotist

Show with Greg Hudson and he did all sorts of things and one was after the show the lady had to tell them what they really

thought of there clothes that they was wearing so

I went up and asked her what she thought of my shirt and she said she liked it so i decide

that i would go back to the 11 pm show after the PD dancers so we sat around some more had the went to the second formal dinner y

we all went to the starry starry night show with the PD dancers and then after that was Greg

Hudson was on again I went up and tried get hypnotised but he does a test and i wasn’t selected so I had to sit back down but it

and this time he said every time a guy took a drink out of his drink for the next 10 mins he would squawk like a roster

and he did cause we watched him after the show

24th

woke up early begging people to go to the dinning room for dinner but no one came and that day was Nick’s birthday so me and my cousin

made him breakfast in bed and he liked it then we sat around the pool most of the day then in the afternoon

i packed to go back to Sydney :( then was dinner time and

the menu was escargot or how ever it was spelt i was scared to try them but my uncle gave me one of them I recommend trying

them they just taste like garlic u would never know what they are if they didn’t tell you it taste like garlic bread

the mistake that day was ordering desert because we had the cake as well so i was so stuffed o try the cake it is so nice

went out at night and sat in the piano bar then went to the nightly show witch this night was the talent show and Mat Elsberry was a judge

he was so good at being the bad judge like diko of idol

had a few drinks and what not walked around the darken ship and stuff sat in the casino for a bit before we went to bed

all that day i was like I don’t want to get of this ship lets break down or something i want to stay on for longer

25th

woke up at 5 to see us arrive in Sydney, the sun rise i have seen this twice and it is one of my favourite parts of the cruise

and get ready for disembarkation then went down the gangway for the last time into Sydney and through the customs

that is so easy for the first time cruises

sat around at home all day unpacking all my stuff and wishing i was back on the ship i get little moments where I think

my bedroom is moving all the time I just had one then so I had to mention it to you

General rambling

I quite enjoyed the cruise though only it was for 7 days i did not want to get off our cabin Stuart person dude was crap

and we hardly spoke to him and we hardly got beach towels and bath towels we had to ask for them umm

the pool was nice great weather food was ok but i ate to much o and I tried snails

our room e191 opened the door for d108 that actually happened to be my dads room was so weird when if tried it I was like omg

they double booked our table one night but they got us another one and told us we have our old one back for rest of cruise

umm i did not much like the piano lady that was in the band or the CD Martin i preferred demo. they closed the pool

the second last day for some reason any other people on the cruise know why?.....

there wasn’t much waiting at the bars except for island night I found it weird kids can go to bars and get drinks like in the

pianos lounge

only another 182 more days till i go again

Hi Drelix. Thanks for your review. How did the rest of your family enjoy themselves? When and where are you off to on the next one? are you going with anyone on the next cruise? Did you have any problems with sea sickness? Did you do any excursions on the last cruise? You sound as if you had a good time. Hope you post your photos. Suexxx

I also saw a hypnotist but not sure of the name , he made one lady squawk like a rooster when she sat down. she did that for ages after the show so i can only guess howfunny your lady was.

another cruise booked as well,fantastic news, where are you going this time?

BTW the pool could have been closed due to bad weather that makes it more a wave pool or a child could have had a "bathroom accident" in it which required the pool to be emptied and cleaned.

I am going with friends next time on the 29 of aug to ovea isle of pines and one other one i cant remember off the top of my head.

Yes did go with my family they had a wonderfull time and are jelous i am goin on another one .

No did no shore tours cause they book out heaps quick .

We had a wheel chair pasanger go with us and we was looked after heaps well they boreded us with the wheel chair showed us to our cabin etc and keep askin if we were fine that was good so you got questions about wheel chair pasengers dont be scared to ask.

There was a reason for my absents from here but if i talk about it it will get me in more trouble.

I am glad i got the reiview out now counting down to the next one.

Hi Drelix,I have been in Tasmania with no computer,so only just read your review.

They were doing maintenance on the swimming pool with the glass panel in it so they had to empty it. The guys were outside our cabin fixing the filters and i think they were having problems so they emptied it as they couldnt filter it enough for swimming.

I spoke to the chief engineer and he told me that the pool police had filmed some guy from "e" deck pee in the water one to many times whilst swimming and were worried about the alcohol content,hahaha.

i wish i met you now on the cruise or any ccers i might have to arrange something for august cruise if any 1 goin on it but i pray its an empty boat more fun for me .
