I wasn’t going to chime in, but have some thoughts that I wanted to share. Why, you ask?
1. You hijacked this thread.
2. You joined cruise critic just to complain. Not sure this is a pseudo name aka….
3. I understand that you are disappointed. So is probably 50% of the ship. Life happens. Is this your first cruise ever?
4. Do you have insurance? Don’t know if you could claim trip interruption.
5. Take advantage of what Princess may offer as a compensation and plan another Alaskan cruise.
6. The Captain is doing all he can do to save Glacier Bay. That should be your highlight. This is the only way to see it, by cruise ship.
I am truly sorry that your experience doesn’t match your expectations. I also know that my next example won’t placate you. I was on a 4 day cruise: San Pedro, Catalina, Ensenada, and a sea day. We missed all ports and replaced Catalina with San Diego. You can imagine how sad the group that drove up from San Diego to visit Catalina was when that port was canceled. We received port charges back and either a beer or soft drink with dinner.
I doubt you will find many CC members who will be in your corner.
