  1. Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD. Its unfair to those behind you in line, plain and simple. NCL likely won't stop you, but that doesn't make it the right thing to do.
  2. We have never done the beverage package before. Do they hand you a receipt to sign when you get your drink, so you can tip extra and have it added to your folio or do we need to bring ones?
  3. YEs, the transportable will fit, the standard will not. The person I quoted said both will fit. At least on the Mardi Gras, that's not the case.
  4. So, Looks like I will be needing a scooter for our next cruise. We will be on the Mardi Gras out of Port Canaveral and I will be picking it up at the terminal. I can find lots of info for what happened before the shutdown, but nothing after the restart. Is there still a separate check in line? Do they still board wheelchairs and scooters after FTTF, or will we board with everyone else?
  5. Trust me they are. I was witness to one such argument between a guest being asked to move his scooter and ship staff. He was NOT happy about being to,d he couldn’t leave it in the hall and all of us within that area of the hallway heard ALL about it.
  6. Scootaround’s standard will not fit through the door on the Mardi Gras. You need an accessible cabin. I JUST spoke to accessibility about this today. Doors are 22”,the scooter is 22.5”.
  7. I was the one who originally mentioned it, but I definitely don't know anything definitive. It just popped up on my MY NCL as entertainment for my sailing and I was asking about it. I checked last night and its gone again. it may have just been a glitch or might be actually coming.
  8. Thanks for the replies everyone. We ended up switching to the week for Feb 9th. I have that week off (Its Mardi Gras week) and DH could get the time. It's going to be a higher kid sailing, but I am thinking it won't be quite as many kids as spring break because only Louisiana, and southern Mississippi and Alabama are out, and some of those don't get the full week.
  9. Is there a big difference in weather? We are booked for a Mid March sailing next year but may need to switch to mid February because of work. How much difference is there is air and water temperatures?
  10. One more question, not necessarily specific to the prima, but is there a huge difference in the Western Caribbean Mid February vs mid March? We may need to switch dates because of DH's work schedule.
  11. Ok, so one more question, is there any chance they are actually going to swap out Donna Summer for Six? My Norwegian shows Six as the show option on my sailing. I fugue it’s an error, but here’s hoping.
  12. I have a question. We just booked this ship for March 2024 and it will be our first NCL cruise. I saw someone say in a review that you cannot book specialty dining in advance. Is this true? We are big on specialty restaurants and if we aren't going to be able to get into them, its a sort of a deal breaker. Also, how hard is it going to be to get reservations for shows as a first time cruiser?
  13. Last cruise our chees package had paid for itself by midday on day 4 of 7. We did not change our normal vacation behavior to "maximize ", just got what we wanted, when we wanted. Definitely worth it! That being said it isn't worth it for everyone. If you don't have multiple alcoholic drinks a day it probably won't work out for you. It really depends on what an how you drink. We enjoy cocktails, drink sodas, and like to have bottled water in our room. Someone who will just have a couple of beers by the pool likely won't get the same value.
