  2. I booked the premier package for my upcoming 7 days because we like better wines and most of all want the 2 nights included in the specialty restaurants. Figured it was good value to have it all prepaid. We booked only the Plus package for our 14 night cruise because they only give us the same 2 night specialty package for Premier no matter how long the length of our cruise. I figure we will just pay the difference for the wine on our 14 night cruise and book(pay) for the specialty restaurants.

I was disappointed in the webinar.She would make a wonderful politician, was very upbeat, probably had time to rehearse her answers but she avoided the one big area of concern the Food downgrading in the main dining room. ' m not just writing about the extra charges, its just the menu in general removing many of the favorites from the menu.
  4. I am widening my search for future cruises.Food is important to me and my husband and the little touches that had made Celebrity special is also too. I understand paying more to cruise Celebrity but paying more and at the same time downgrading the menus and other amenities is unacceptable at least to me. I may not be able to cruise 4 times a year as I do now but 2 or 3 times at a more upscale cruise line will probably be my new norm.
  5. We just came back from our sailing o the CB 5/27-6/3. Though we ended up having a good time I doubt I would ever sail on this ship again. -The biggest negative to me was the AC.Our original room had no AC.After 2 different serviceman came to try and fix it one of them leaked to us that it could only work at 14% capacity.Their original solution was to put a huge industrial noisy fan in the room. Luckily one of the supervisors finally found us a new room that night.We issed the show and had to repack and unpack again but it was worth moving to a cabin with AC.Other parts of the ship laced AC too. 2- The food was good in the main dining room, two nights we had extremely slow service and when they wanted to put us in the same section again we spoke up and were placed elsewhere with great service the rest of the week. 3- We ate in the Crown twice as we had the Premier package. The first time it was great both food and service(filet and lobster).The second time not so great, both of us ordered rib steak and it tasted frozen and service was not as good. 4-Entertainment-Jodi is a wonderful Cruise and Entertainment Director.She organized a lot of activites and she and her staff made it a lot of fun.The best CD I ever experienced on 20plus cruises of various lines. My negative is the nighttime shows in the big theater. One night it was just the band playing,another a lackluster magician and the production shows were outdated especially compared to the Enchantment which we were on a few months ago.The exception was a female comedian who was wonderful. 5-Bar service was great especially in Good Spirits and Vines.We used the apps sometimes for drinks and that worked well.Food delivery was a hit or miss.We had piping hot pizza delivered into the Wheelhouse bar in 20 minutes and guac and chips 3 hours later. 6-Our cabin was tired but we had AC and our cabin attendant kept it spotless and was wonderful.I was pleasently surprised to have such a nice roomy updated balcony with new furniture but it did not make up for the really small shower. I am used to small showers but this one was tiny. 7-All in all it was a nice relaxing cruise after the first day even at full capacity but but I think I will stick to newer ships where there are less problems with the AC and leaks which many people at customer service were experiencing.

  8. I had trouble too with the app and adding a card.It wouldn't take my American Express so I tried a different card and it worked.
  9. I have the Premier package. Does the app allow you to make the 2 included specialty dining reservations which are included before my cruise or do I have to wait to get onboard ? Thank you
  10. With the Premier package does the app allow you to book the 2 specialty dinners before you board on the app or do you have to wait until you board.?I don't want to be charged for something I already paid for in the package.

I was on the Solstice last week in Aqua.Very disappointed that there was never a souffle of any kind offered .Yes, you could get creme brulee every night, the only dessert that actually had some flavor besides one night on Jan.9 a Monday when a dessert of a small lava cake ice cream and bruleed banana was on the menu. My husband is a diabetic and his desserts tasted like they were frozen, no flavor. He ended up having no sugar added ice cream each night. In the past there was some really terrific deserts that were no sugar added.
  12. We were in Aqua on the Solstice last week with the premium package and were able to get Decoy in that dining room..However you had to ask for it .They did not mention it while telling us the wines available.After that it flowed freely for us without asking.

Just got off the Solstice and ate in Blu.Sorry to report but there are sever cutbacks in the quality and selection of food.Dinner almost every night was uninspired.Very limited selections, very little meat .One night I ordered the veal loin, only meat on the menu.I could not cut it.They told me to order the fish as a replacment since there was no meat or to order the sirlion steak from the main menu which was like shoe leather. Most nights there were very similar desserts to the main menu, desserts tasteless. I felt bad for the waiter and manager getting the impression they would get blaimed for complaining travelers about the food. Like I said the service was wonderful as was the wine steward who even went to find us Decoy as we had the premium package.Our room attendant in Aqua was also great.Sadly the food and the little touches that made Celebrity a step above the other mass market cruise lines is no longer a step above.
