  1. Apologies if this has already been posted here -- I searched using a couple of obvious terms, didn't find it. I'm not going to read back through 169 pages!!!

This is a Youtube video of a couple of tiny "quadcopters," with video cameras, circling and approaching the Concordia. Pretty cool stuff.

Really cool, thanks for the link

  2. The Stromma boats (aka canal tours Copenhagen) are all covered but I think that the Netto boats are not.

The difference in price are only like 30-40 DKK.

I think that it is Nyhavns Færgekro that serves the sildebord (herring table) so maybe you can check that one out.

But as posted before, I will take a break from my Roskilde visit in the start of the week to get a proper shower and sleep.

I have to pace myself accordingly if I have to endure the full 9 days.

I would get angry by myself if I missed Kraftwerk Sunday evening because I was to tired.

    Hi Danish King!!

We are visiting Copenhagen next month (Wednesday July 31'st). This is our second visit and booked the Segway tour with ToursCPH. Our tours ends at 11:00 AM and we will like to visit the Torvehallerne Market after our tour. Can you tell me the best way to get there from the CPH store (1468 København)? Will appreciate your feedback!!:):)

  3. Cruise a holic is right that the Premium package is worth it. A note regarding the package being embossed vs stickered on the card: We upgraded our Classic package to Premium on the ship at Guest Relations as soon as we boarded. They immediately reprinted our sea pass showing we had purchased the Premium (alcohol) package - so no sticker for us. That might be the benefit to doing it there as opposed to getting the upgrade from a bartender who will likely have to put a sticker on the card, as h20cruzer recommended. But either way (printer or stickered sea pass) will get you the drinks!

    Great idea!!! :):)

  4. I'll use this break between ports to report a room problem. Not my room, but a room belonging to someone else in our travel party. If you book interiors, stay away from 9187 or any other room in a similar position on the deck plans. It is right next to a room service kitchen. I got a look at the space and it is an all stainless room and appears to be a full stocked kitchen. There is constant activity in there and the loud banging kept them up all night.

When they complained about the room, Guest services told them they are always having to move people out of it. Seems to me they should fix the problem, but their failure to do so worked in my friends' benefit. GS was gracious enough to upgrade them to a balcony on deck 6. I think this made up for it nicely and my friends were very happy with the unexpected upgrade.

Great pictures and review!!!! Glad everything worked out for your friends!!!

  5. We have gotten on and off in Rome on a few cruises... always very easy.

We book a private car with Romecabs.com (130 euro's plus a tip, usually 140 total, very professional - we always use them).

We requested pick up at 9am, may asked for 8:30am next time... we were off the ship the last trip by 8am and waited a while.

Taxi drivers wait for folks, so need to be concerned they will wait for you.

Trips to the airport generally only 45 minutes, but allow extra just in case there is traffic or an accident that creates delays better safe then sorry.

Flights back to the USA... do involved a lot of security, 3 different screenings... plan at least 2 hours or more... to get throught the airport process.

Flights to other European countries do not have as much security.

Agreed!!! I don't like the logistics in Fiumicino. Beside security if you want to get the VAT back, add two or three more lines to do, and remember to have the valuables you purchased with you. :):)

  6. Love that name.....the Traveling Terrible Towel album. You make me want to take mine to Italy in October!

Take it!! Mine is going to the Baltic and Moscow next month!! Hope the link to the ESPN commercial works... This is where I got the idea. Google, traveling terrible towel!!:):)

  7. Another member of the Steelers Nation, from San Juan, Puerto Rico. My husband goes to Pittsburgh every year to watch a game with more Steelers fans from San Juan. I'm never going to forget the day he met Franco Harris at the hospital where he did his residency (AGH), or the first time an attending gave him tickets to go to a Monday Night Football in Three Rivers Stadium.

BTW, we take our Terrible Towel with us when we cruise and take pictures for our "Traveling Terrible Towel" album. Our terrible towel is going to Moscow and the Baltic next month!!

  8. I was on the Eclipse in April in the Caribbean - no escargot. :(

I just got off the Connie June 1 in the Baltics and escargot was on the always available menu.:) However, there was no escargot on the TA which came from Miami right before I got on. Seems they picked up the escargot in Europe. This leads me to believe it may have something to do with what region of the world you are in and/or the suppliers.

Sailing the Baltic in July, hoping they make it to the Eclipse!!:):)
