  1. I was going to say it really depends on how many people use the sun screen and how much they use and how often they will use and really only you can be the judge of that since we don't know - If you use 3 bottles for one day then it would safe to say that you would need 21 bottles for 7 days

  2. You can still get cards for free at the guest services but try to get them early on in the cruise because once they are gone that is it

You can go to the casino and ask for a free lanyard - again try and get it early on because once gone that is it

I like to participate in games to get my ship on a stick with the cruise ship name on it - they give out medals also but those are the same on every ship

if you go to the steakhouse the first night you can get a free bottle of wine

  3. What is the current cost of the Cheers package on the Victory?

Cheers is the same price on every ship 51.95 a day if you purchase prior to cruising and on the boat it is 56.95 the only difference is in texas and new york you can not have it for day 1 it will not start til day 2 (of course your not charged for the first day)

  4. (of course out of their commissions and if there is a price drop, that can sometimes be problematic as well - so beware!).

That is exactly why you need to have a TA that responds quickly when you reach out to them to avoid missing a price drop - A good tip though that we got from an agent when my TA called with me on 3-way about a price drop she said to put a hold on the room at the price dropped rate so that if it changes by the time the TA get's ahold of them they can see the price

  5. I know that personally, we've never been separated for muster drill and we go to the special needs drill because of my son. We learned after our first couple of cruises on the Triumph that being forced to stand outside in the heat with no breeze stuffed into a group of sweaty, smelly strangers was NOT going to work for him. Or me. A couple of times I almost passed out from a combination of the heat and being exhausted from having to get up super early for the drive down to Galveston and not being able to sleep in the car.

Yah the heat is what does it for me not to mention being a tad bit clausterphobic and because we are kinda OCD about being on time for Muster to avoid being the ones stared at for being super late and holding up muster we are always stuffed in the back with rows of people in front of us so with that and the heat I just can't do it anymore

  6. I also am not worried about lost luggage

I prefer to carry my luggage on so I can get unpacked right away - Sometimes not always I like to take an afternoon nap before Muster - I generally take naps every day at home so it is no different on the boat I just happen to enjoy my nap time and before Muster is the perfect time as nothing is going on - But in order for me to sleep I would need my fan which happens to be in my luggage so I like to bring it with me

Not to mention I just feel better knowing everything is unpacked and in it's spot which allows me to fully relax and enjoy myself

  7. We had special needs muster in the comedy club on the Sunshine. One person could accompany the special needs passenger. We had our "talk" then they released us about 10 minutes before the rest of the passengers so we were able to get elevators and get out of the way before the able bodied hordes flooded the elevator lobbies.:)

Weird we were able to bring the entire family with us as did other families granted ours were children under the age of 18 but the other families in there had some filled with friends and one group had like 6-8 people in it

  8. I don't care what the price is.

If my partner is spending time doing laundry, I failed him or her.

They've earned this vacation as much, if not more, than anyone.

That's what I am saying I don't wanna spend my vacation doing laundry or even having someone else do my laundry because that is time I have to take to prepare the bag - the only reason we did it in Europe was out of the necessity of being there for almost 3 weeks and we could not pack that much clothing

  9. Unless the port is close enough for me to drive to in less than 6 hours I would never risk leaving the day of on a cruise you never know what's going to happen flights could get delayed or missed - when we did Europe customs actually caused an issue and came to a complete standstill for over a hour this accompanied with a line that was probably at least 2 hours long to begin with caused one of our flights to be pretty much empty because everyone was stuck in custom's - Luckily we had got into the line early enough that we just barely made it onto the airplane as we were getting there they were making the final call

  10. Thanks for the review! We’ll be sailing on her on 5/21.

    Any tips for Cozumel?

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Mr Sanchos is my favorite spot in Cozumel - every time we go to Cozumel we go there - All inclusive beach getaway

They have 2 pools - all your drinks including alcohol are include - amazing food is included they usually have buffet style or if your willing to wait you can order off their menu - for like $12 extra kids can play on all these amazing beach toys and floating bounce houses etc

    $55 per person

When we go we like to get the romantic package its $200 for 2 people but it includes your own private bed cabana hangy thingy, a guaranteed beach table, and a massage for 2 - we try to get there first thing so we can get the loungers by the pool as that is our favorite spot to hang

  11. I have a 12 inch fan that plugs into the wall and i bring it with me on every cruise i also bring a 6 ft brown extension cord you can get it from walmart for like 1.25 this way I can have my fan where ever I want it at

We used to bring a bigger fan when we had a bigger suitcase but I was never able to find a replacement suitcase that size again and even my biggest suitcase which I can't even use on an airplane will not hold our regular size fan but I found this 12 incher that blows just as much air as my big fan does which was amazing to me

  12. There is also the laundry bag in the cabin. I think it's $15 a bag for all that you can roll up tight and stuff in it. Don't put anything in it that can't take heat. They use extremely hot water and high heat to dry. It's great for socks and underwear and Tees. Leave it on your bed in the morning and the cabin steward will turn it in. It usually comes back later that night all clean and folded. Beats doing it yourself.

We did this when we went to Europe as we were there for 18 days half by cruise half on land so at the end of our cruise we crammed so much stuff into 2 bags especially the underclothes its amazing how much stuff you can get in a bag if you fold your clothes just the right way

  13. Is their laundry reasonable on board? We never realized that they had one. Do you have to stay with the laundry or is it safe to come back in an hour to switch it all? Just normal laundry, nothing fancy that I would imagine anyone would want to steal.

Yah i mean most people don't even go into the laundry room so you should be fine leaving and coming back i would just make sure you come back when you need to as to not hog it all day

washer and dryer are three and some change for each

i think the only thing I would ever use is maybe the dryer when we go to alaska just in case we have issues with our shoes getting wet other than that I have no intention of doing laundry i rather just pack what i need for the week and do my laundry when i am back home

  14. The only thing that sucks about using a TA is that your at the mercy of your TA as you can't do anything like make a payment or change anything unless your TA calls and does it but on the upside if you have a good TA they will offer you some sort of bonus for me if I am booking a week or longer I go thru the TA

But if its 2-4 days I book myself because my TA does not give anything for smaller bookings because they hardly get paid anything for those

  15. I've never in my life been on vacation with a female that will drink that much.

I have seen some women knock it back my mom certainly could have made cheers worth her while and she likely would have hit 15 beers every single day - I also was on a cruise ship once and a lady was talking about her cheers and was like i am getting my 15 drinks she was plastered

Another way to look at it is the season pass I bought for a local amusement park the past 3 years. It was over $200. Sounds easy to get your money's worth. Just attend at least 4 times last year. I didn't. I never do. My highest year, I went 3 times. Even then, I had to push myself to go to justify all of the money I spent, to somehow make myself feel better? Every other year was 2 visits. Why was I trying to force myself to go just to break even? What is the point of justifying unnecessary costs? The world is moving heavily towards subscription-based "unlimited" access monthly and up-front fees. The truth is, the vast majority of people never get their monies worth for what they buy. I see that in my industry too. Most of the costs are incurred up-front, then they have little or no utilization of it afterwards. Companies do it to make money, not to offer "break evens".

Now I love the annual passes we get them for disney every other year and we certainly get our monies worth we go at least once a month sometimes more often depending on how we are feeling
